Sol Signals

This is a SAMPLE issue – illustrative only, not a live issue. It shows the real structure, tone and sourcing discipline of a Sol Signals issue, built from the same public-data methodology used every week. Data as of 15 September 2026 – it will not be refreshed.

Data as of 15 September 2026

Market Snapshot

Romanian wind and solar output stayed within normal seasonal bands this week. Grid balancing costs eased slightly from the prior week as reserve margins improved. Battery storage tenders in the public procurement channel continued at a steady pace, consistent with the ramp seen since the second quarter of the year.

Data snapshot The ATR (grid connection approval) register chart below is a snapshot dated 30 September 2025. It is not live and will not be refreshed on this sample page – the real weekly issue rebuilds this chart from the current register each week. Regulatory Watch

Regulatory Watch

ANRE published updated guidance on connection guarantee thresholds for new grid applications, tightening the collateral requirement for projects entering the queue after the effective date. Transelectrica’s public document library shows two revised technical files for the national transmission plan, both published this week. No material change to the grandfathering rules for previously issued connection agreements was announced.

Grid Watch (illustrative)

Grid Watch – a simplified read on the 400 kV backbone

The full weekly issue includes a Grid Watch section reading on connection queue and transmission capacity. Below is a simplified, honestly-scoped schematic – not a full national topology – showing a handful of the largest 400 kV connection points by ATR-approved capacity, based on the same public register used for the chart above. Node size is proportional to approved capacity; this is a schematic, not a geographic map.

Verified vs. simplified Node names and MW figures are real and drawn from the ATR register snapshot (30 September 2025) cited above. Their positions on this diagram are schematic only – not to geographic scale, and connecting lines represent that these are all part of the same public 400 kV register, not verified physical circuit routing.

Tender Activity

Tender Activity

Public procurement notices tracked via data.gov.ro’s open tender datasets show a modest increase in energy sector award activity compared with the prior four week average, concentrated in grid support equipment and site preparation works. Total disclosed award value for the week stayed well within normal bounds.

The full weekly issue also covers Contractor and Competitor Watch, Grid Watch, Weather and Yield Context, and Sol’s own read – see what is inside every issue. SEAP Radar subscribers get the row-level tender feed behind this summary – see a sample tender row illustration.
